Our Services

Orthopaedics is the medical specialty that involves the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, which includes the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Musculoskeletal problems affect one in every four people and can strike nearly every area of the body. In fact, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons:

• Arthritis is the leading chronic condition reported by the elderly
• Back or spine injuries are the most prevalent musculoskeletal conditions
• Sprains, dislocations and fractures account for almost half of all musculoskeletal injuries
• More than half of all athletic injuries occur in the knee. Orthopedic surgeons treat knees more often than any other part of the body
• Carpal tunnel syndrome accounts for more than two million physician visits a year

Our orthopaedic specialists treat a wide assortment of injuries and diseases of the skeleton. We provide on-site x-ray and interpretation as well as in-office cast application. Among the other services we provide are:

  • ACL Injuries
  • Meniscus Injuries
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Arthritic Joints
  • Fracture Management
  • Sports Injuries
  • Joint Replacement—shoulder, hip, knee
  • Neck and Back pain
  • Joint Injections

Sports medicine physicians have specialized training in the field of medicine that deals with sports or exercise-related injuries. Their primary focus is on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries that occur during sports and other physical activity.

A sports medicine specialist receives special training in sports medicine during a fellowship program after finishing a residency program in another specialty, such as orthopedic surgery.
